The lid beautifully engraved with provinces and states of British India (and now Pakistan):- Baluchistan (Balochistan), Punjab, Sindh, Rajputana (Rajasthan), United Province (of Agra and Oudh), Bihar, Bengal, Assam, Central Provinces (Central Provinces and Berar/Madhya Pradesh), Bombay, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Orissa (Odisha), Madras (Tamil Nadu), Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and Burma (Myanmar), plus principal cities - Delhi, Calcutta, Rangoon. Also depicts Himalayas, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar.
